Horse Powered Reading TM

Horse Powered Reading is a multi-sensory modality that combines social-emotional learning and academics, using metaphors for the skills involved in reading.

Students interact with horses on the ground, while using props to identify obstacles and learn reading skills - phonemic awareness, decoding, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension

Brittany has a minor in Math and taught math for 7 years in Fauquier Public Schools. She can teach your child math skills in a fun and engaging way!

Horse Powered Math

Developed by Nancy Lyon, this multi-sensory approach is unmounted and follows the principles of Horse Powered Reading TM.

Why Horses?
